Currently based out of her hometown of Pittsburgh, Missy has been "changing the comedy scene" (City Paper) since returning in 2013 from Chicago. Matter of fact, Missy has been giving her all to help make PGH a great place in all arts and communication. As a recent graduate from ACADEMY PITTSBURGH Web Developer Boot Camp, Missy has been learning to bring her unique creative communication to the tech realm. From interactive sites to leadership in Tech Development, Missy is thriving by revitalizing her career in arts by bringing that flare to the tech. A 'pioneer' in Pittsburgh's theater scene, Missy is a graduate of Point Park University's Conservatory of Performing Arts. She was the NSAL Award Winner for "Acting in Comedy" where she represent the PGH Chapter in Honolulu, Hawaii at the National Competition. Missy PGH Theater credits include :

In Pittsburgh, Missy calls ARCADE COMEDY Theater her 'comedy home' since helping create content there since it's opening in 2013. Missy has been a producer/improviser and comedian in her original musical comedy works :"MISSY MORENO & FRIENDS: A Musicomical Adventure" themed variety hour and as an improviser in various shows, "Lisa Mizzelli" a one-woman cabaret extravaganza and cutting edge improv and innovative musical comedy productions with her current comic partner Connor McCanlus as "babyGRAND". babyGRAND have been called "improv masters" (PGH City Paper) and (Pittsburgh Magazine) and have appeared at Chicago Music Improv Festival, Chicago Improv Festival, Philadelphia's DuoFest Improv Festival, Pittsburgh Comedy Festival as well as opening for "Who's Line Is It, Anyway?"'s Laura Hall. Other Chicago acting credits include the Jeff Award winning production of "The Original Grease" with Jim Jacobs (original writer of GREASE) for American Theater Company, and Co-Ed Prison Sluts, the longest running musical in Chicago's history, with the Annoyance Theater under the direction of Mick Napier. Missy also enjoyed the lively children's theater work with the CHICAGO KIDS COMPANY in roles with "Three Little Pigs" and "Cinderella" as the "Fairy Godmother" . As a WEB DEVELOPER , Missy has been creating new digital works since 2020 from being a Front-End Developer for her ACADEMY PGH Capstone project for "AWAKEN" Educational Program, innovating an interactive administration portal with her team for this unique non-profit. Missy has also co-created "WEATHER-OR-NOT" with fellow creator, Juan Fernandez, that shares the weather with a peppy twist. Digitally, Missy has been seen all over the place as a Digital Video Producer for the online entertainment channel, 4 the 412, as part of WTAE TV Channel 4 Pittsburgh Action News which aired from June 2015 to Dec 2016 as part of an experimental project from HEARST Media Corporation. All her work can still be found online! Being a proud Steel Valley girl who loves PGH, some fun she's done in the city includes being a "Just Ducky" Tour Guide, regular singer of the National Anthem for the National WALK MS at The Point, hosting events all over town like the Annual Weiner Dog Race at the Waterfront and has even been a special guest at "Kennywood Park" for the "Twas the Night Before Christmas" !
